The fine line between anxiety and a heroin addiction
Some time ago I had a call from a man. We will call the man Billy for reference (Not his real name).
Billy was in the middle of a full-blown relapse and had very quickly sunk back into a heroin addiction.
To give you a back story a friend that Billy was very close to had been diagnosed with stomach cancer and at the same time Billy had stomach pains. The stomach pains were probably a sign of anxiety because every other symptom he described was exactly that od General Anxiety Disorder.
Instead of going to a doctor to see why he had stomach pains he instead started taking heroin because he had decided that he must have stomach cancer.
