Stress
Most people love being the center of attention and it is nice when people pay attention to you or show interest in you.
Some people take the desire for attention to extreme or problematic levels by constantly seeking attention through behavior that can develop to be antisocial.
When you get attention from people the brain releases dopamine which is the chemical that gives you the feel good factor and happy feelings. Getting extra attention more than one would normally require or desire could be a sign that there is a different problem or other cause of this behavior.
